During the distribution of face masks, a Filipino nurse was assaulted in New York. According to a report on Unang Balita on Friday, a Filipino nurse was physically assaulted in New York in the United States while giving away free face masks to subway commuters.

After a couple refused the face masks she was providing to them, Potri Ranka Manis sustained bruises on her face and body.
Besides assaulting her, it is alleged that the couple took her cellphone and screamed racial slurs at her while telling her to go back to China.
